Hectic Days

Today (7th August) and the past few days were hectic. We went to Civil Service Club in Bukit Batok to celebrate little Ryan’s full month on Saturday. So much good food. For the adults at least. There were so many uncles and aunties there for me to play with. I practised my new repertoire of baby babble on them all and they all played with me. Uncle Jeffrey was spellbound by little charming Isaiah. Isaiah who? Isaiah me lah!

After attending the baby shower, Mummy brought me to Auntie Michelle and Uncle Jeffrey’s house in Uncle Alan’s car. He sure drives differently from Daddy. *wink* I had a good nap on their sofa, after which I felt a little hungry and started fussing. As I had my feed only 2 hrs ago, Mummy thought I was fussing because of a wet diaper?! HELLO?! So I decided I had to up my cries to max volume to get her to pay attention. All the aunties and uncles felt so sorry for me and berated Mummy for starving me. Poor Mummy felt so wronged.

Then Mummy brought me out yesterday. To little Kayle’s house. She lives near my house so Daddy agreed to let Mummy drive me alone there. I was a good little boy in the car while Mummy drove. Sure I fussed a bit initially but there was so much to see while Mummy drove. You know, Kayle has the same cot mobile as me, so I didn’t feel like I was at a strange place. In fact I got so comfortable that I laid on Kayle’s bed and even pooed at her house! Kayle and I got along fine. I even offered to help her unclog her nostril!

Then today, Daddy and Mummy brought me out to this place in Choa Chu Kang. Some place where 2 aunties fought loudly in the foodcourt. Some place that gives me the shivers whenever I think of it. THEY BROUGHT ME TO HAVE MY INJECTION! Hurts so bad that my screams even surprised the doctor and nurse. Mummy felt so sad for me that she wanted to rush over to carry me away from the needles *sob*. Daddy just stood at one corner to video the whole process. He’s gunning for some youtube stardom for me.

It’s time for me to rest. Hectic dayzzzzz……

Massage Class Part II

You know adults are the strangest of creatures. They all go soft with some simple ‘coos’ and ‘ang-goos’. So I practised my increasing vocabulary of baby babble on Daddy and Mummy and watch them go crazy. I had so much fun playing around with them!

Oh yes, you remember about the massage class I told you about some time back? Well we went for our second session just last Saturday. Daddy n Mummy, esp the latter, kept reminding (nagging actually) me to be on my best behaviour. Well.....The session was quite ok at first. Daddy and Mummy were basically doing what they’d learnt. It was C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E. But then the instructor Mrs Wong began to teach them some new moves. Hey babies do not like surprises ok. Why didn’t they warn me? Good thing Daddy and Mummy did not continue when I fussed during the new moves. Otherwise, I’d have gotten all the little babies there to cry together with me!

At the end of the day, we (Daddy, Mummy and yours truly) graduated from massage class with full honours. (As ususal, Daddy has his eyes closed!) :P

My weekends

You know, people say weekends are for you to relax and unwind. Applies to most adults but in my opinion, not to poor little babies. Why do I say that? Daddy and Mummy have been bringing me out almost every weekend, make that every weekend! Headache I tell you.

They would have an excuse for all trips. For example, Por Por’s birthday. They brought me to the coffee shop near our block for a little meal. They ate XO crab bee hoon while all I could have is plain old milk! I wasn’t going to let them enjoy so I fussed midway through their meal :P

And then 2 weeks later they brought me to Fish & Co at IMM to celebrate Nai Nai’s birthday. The decor was quite interesting with fishes and all, so I thought I could get Daddy and Mummy to bring me around to appreciate all those nice decorations. All I got was a lousy pacifier stuffed into my mouth! You can imagine my indignation! After singing “Happy Birthday” to Nai Nai and all, we were on our way home. *GROWL* went my tummy. Dinnertime! Daddy and Mummy had a hard time finding a place to feed me cos it was dinner time for adults too. So they settled on Coffee Club. I never knew having milk at a coffee joint was that cool ;). To add icing to the whole cake, I had to poo after my dinner. Poor Mummy had to go find a changing room to change my soiled diapers. Hey at least you don’t have to worry about me being constipated.

And then another 2 weeks later, it was Gong Gong’s birthday. Busy month huh. We went to this place called “The Ship”. They should call it “The Ship-Wannabe” cos it looks nothing like a ship! A ship’s steering and some flags are all this place has. And they say Singaporeans lack imagination… Well, at least Mummy chose a nice outfit for me. Do note that the 3 instances are but examples of where Daddy and Mummy brought me. I am so busy I can hardly have time to suck my new-found fav ‘food’ – my fist. Yummy. Ok then, I gotta go now. Please contact my secretary if you wanna play with me. Don’t call us, we’ll call you. Ciao.
