6 Oct

6 Oct is my Daddy's birthday! Just imagine, 29 years ago, he was a little baby just like me! Mummy usually gives Daddy various surprises on his birthday. I wonder how she'd outdo herself this time round?

The day started at IKEA Tampines - we had to get some furniture for Sok Sok's room. So we spent about 2 hours there. It was uneventful enough. We took, we paid and arranged for the delivery.

After that, on the pretext that she was going to meet someone to sell the Pigeon steriliser, Mummy made Daddy drive us all the way to Raffles City. Oh boy was he in for a surprise. At Raffles City, she made Daddy open up his Deuter bag that was full of clothes etc. *huh* He was confused. We're staying in a hotel tonight you silly Daddy! Hee hee. See, I told you Mummy was good.

It was a comfortable hotel - Swissotel ok. Here's pictures of us "frolicking" on the huge king-size bed ;P

We had so much fun exploring the big hotel room. There are even 2 balconies - 1 overlooking the hotel swimming and the other facing Suntec City!

Later that night, Mummy had another surprise up her sleeve - she invited Uncle Lee Hong and Aunty Pei Pei over for a mini-party! Look at all the yummy food! Daddy, Mummy, Uncle Lee Hong and Aunty Pei Pei did lots of catching up (e.g. on their wedding plans :P), while I drooled over all the food!
The next morning, I was decked out in this funny suit and brought out to this place with a lot of water... What's going on?!
Turns out that Daddy and Mummy are bringing me to 'swim'. To me the term 'play water' would have been more appropriate but who cares when you're having fun eh?
And if you think that was the end of Mummy's surprises, SURPRISE! Ye Ye, Nai Nai and Sok Sok suddenly showed up at our door! Family party!

Pins and Needles

I woke up 1 fine weekday to find Daddy at home. Strange, doesn't he need to work today? Daddy and Mummy were bustling around and spoke in hushed tones. I smell stale milk...

Then Daddy, Mummy and Nai Nai bundled me into the car. It suddenly hit me - it has been 2 months since my last injection. And it's D-Day today! NOOO!!

At the clinic, we had to wait a while before the jab. While waiting, an idea hit me. I was having slight sniffles the past few days. Maybe I need not have that injection if the doctor says I'm ill! So I went *sniff* *sniff* :P

In the consultation room, the good doctor checked me. *sniff* *sniff* *sniff* *sniff*. "Oh he's all right". Is he deaf or what?! *SNIFF* *SNIFI*

And so the nurse pinned me down. Daddy stood by, videocam ready. I think I should make a break for it. However the doctor swopped down on me without warning and poked the dreaded needle into my thigh. No fair!

And so I screamed at the injustice. I'm going to talk to my lawyer I tell you.

Think Daddy and Mummy tried to make amends cos later, the doctor gave me this sweet drink called 'rotavirus' - or something like that - that cost $95. No way they getting away so easily. I let some of it trickle out of my mouth. Nice try Daddy and Mummy.

How did I feel after the jab, you might ask? I felt as happy as a hyena on laughing gas, you insensitive rattle snatcher.

pics will be uploaded at a later date.. mummy's busy.. ;P

Yikes! Who's that Botak?

One fine evening, Daddy came home from work with 1 package from this place called "harvey norman" and an evil grin. Daddy unveiled his new buy - a brand new braun shaver with a hair trimming attachment. "We're going to cut your hair," Daddy and Mummy said. *shriek*

I tried to run but I don't even know how to crawl. I tried to scream for help but all I could manage were some baby babbles. They pinned me down. The merciless shaver touched my head and I felt something down my face.

Hey that didn't feel so bad. My head actually feels cooler and lighter! Cool. And so I sat there quietly, enjoying the new sensations that followed every time the shaver removed my hair.

At the end of the session, I look totally different. So much so that I do not even recognize myself in the mirror! And of course my new hairstyle looks disastrous!

The next day, Daddy and Mummy decided to try shaving me again. This time with slightly better results. After these 2 failed tries, Daddy and Mummy decided that they should send me to a professional hairstylist whenever I need a haircut. Phew ;)

Kindermusik!

You know, I really like action. Not those fake action movies made by hollywood. I mean real action. The kind where you sing n do lotsa hand n feet actions to go along. Yeah, I'm a real action hero.

Mummy brought me to this place called kindermusik (Apparently she spent a lot of efforts organising this trial class for me). There were many other little babies in the class too. And guess what? Little Claire was there attending another class there!

The class was divided into 2 halves - Mummy took the first while Daddy took the second. I had so much fun during the first half that I couldn't wipe that happy grin off my face ;D. A pity kindermusik doesn't allow photographs to be taken.

Unfortunately by the beginning of the second half, I was beginning to feel zonked out (supposed to be my nap time lah), that I fell asleep in Daddy's arms. Haha!

Nonetheless, I really enjoy kindermusik. Yups. I'm THE action hero :)

Later Than Late

Event no. 8
Gong Gong and Por Por came back from their holiday in Australia. And you know what that means huh: goodies for Isaiah! True enough, they minted this medallion and bought a kangaroo doll that sings “Waltzing Matilda”. And you guessed correctly – nothing for Daddy and Mummy. Never mind, I can always let them listen to “Waltzing Matilda” whenever I feel like it.

Event no. 9
Mummy is at it again. Buying-spree for Isaiah! Haha. She bought some books and clothes for me. Mostly imported stuff ok. Don’t play play huh. Daddy also kindly “contributed” his sweat-toiled $100 IPPT money for Mummy’s war chest. I’m going to make sure he clears his IPPT when he goes back for reservist in November so that Mummy can buy more stuff for me ;). Giddy-up Daddy! No photos of Mummy's conquests as they're all being kept as I've kindly given up my room to Shu Shu.. One more playmate for me!

Event no. 10
Isaiah waffles! Isaiah-what, you ask? Well Mummy was giving me my massage one morning after my bath when suddenly the Z-monster hit. I fought and fought but my valiant efforts were in vain. I succumbed to the Z-monster’s magic – I fell asleep while during the massage (Mummy likes to think I liked her massage so much that I fell asleep). And when I woke up, I had these waffle-like marks on my tummy. DELICIOUS.

For your info, Daddy just got a call from Mummy this morning to tell him that I fell asleep during a massage again. Luckily no more Isaiah waffles cos I peed on the rubber sheet yesterday and it had to be washed ;)

Event no. 11
Final event for this super-duper long entry: Isaiah slept through the night! Yes that’s right. After 3 long months, I finally gave Daddy and Mummy their full night’s rest. It took a lot of trial and error but think they finally got the secret formula correct! With the exception of Saturday night (I had a rather exciting evening that day and hence was a bit jumpy), I managed to sleep through the night from Wed to Sun! Daddy and Mummy are crossing their fingers, legs and eyes, hoping that this is a sign of things to come. May the force be with Daddy and Mummy. (footnote: it isn't.. I'm back to my 'nonsense' as Daddy n Mummy put it.. Try harder Daddy and Mummy!)

Newsflash - Guess who this is??

More updates coming up..
